Biography:

Margaret Simpson was Head of the family team in Dickinson Dees.  She has over 20 years experience in all aspects of family law.

She specialises in advising on the financial issues arising from divorce and separation and has a wide range of experience of cases involving business assets, trusts and pensions. She also acts for farming clients and understands the particular challenges they face when a marriage or a relationship breaks down.

She is chair of the Tees Valley Resolution – First for Family

Law (a national organisation of family lawyers) and is collaboratively trained.

She is committed to providing firm and robust advice and is determined to secure the best possible results for her clients, whether by way of negotiation or through the court process.

Chambers UK (2011) says Margaret is held in high esteem by clients: "Her arguments are meticulous, she is terrific and she makes me feel as though I am her only client." She is known for her specialist knowledge of cases involving landed estates and farming.
