Attending the event in person, Annie stated “‘It has been a lifetime dream of mine to have a solo exhibition of my work and it’s a privilege to be doing just that at such a wonderful venue. The ‘Dreams’ series of paintings was almost three years in the making so I’m very excited to have the chance to be showing it in its entirety. ‘I dream my painting and I paint my dream’ the Van Gogh quote that inspired me and I’m doing exactly that! I never thought I’d have a second career and I am delighted that the launch also raised such a fantastic sum for a brilliant charity“.

The money raised by the silent auction included prizes from local companies including afternoon tea and vouchers for The Biscuit Factory, a golf day and artwork.

Jill Clattenburg from Silk added, “We are delighted at the money raised from the exhibition, and what a success the event was for Annie. The MS Society is a cause that is close to the hearts of many people, and the money raised from the event will go towards supporting those affected by multiple sclerosis.”
