Silk Family Law has strengthened its legal team in the North East with the appointment of a new lawyer at its Newcastle office.
Born and raised in Gateshead, Eleanor Lowes attended Heworth Grange Comprehensive School and went on to study Law at Clare College Cambridge. She graduated with a first class honours degree before moving to London to practice.
Eleanor joins the Silk Family Law team to service the firm’s growing client base in the region. She will be working alongside the partners, advising clients on a broad range of family matters including divorce, financial remedy, children issues and pre-nuptial agreements.
Co-founding partner Ian Kennerley commented:
“Eleanor was recently recognised by the independent UK lawyer rankings guide, Legal 500, which describes her as ‘talented’ with ‘a very bright future’. We are delighted that she has chosen Silk Family Law to take her career to the next level and we warmly welcome her to the team.”
Ms Lowes said:
“I sought out Silk family Law as the firm is well known for its reputation as one of the best family law firms in the North, with national recognition. I am delighted to be appointed to work alongside the partners at Silk and look forward to helping families move through difficult times towards a bright and positive future.”
Prior to joining Silk Family Law in Newcastle, Eleanor was an associate at Mills & Reeve based in the firm’s London office.
Silk Family Law has received top tier rankings as a leading family law firm in both Legal 500 and Chambers UK for nine successive years. The firm has offices in Newcastle, North Yorkshire (near Scotch Corner) and Leeds, as well as consulting rooms in York and London.
