We are delighted to announce that solicitor Katie Machin is a founding member of Smart Works Newcastle, a charity that provides free clothes and interview training for women – which is due to launch in Spring 2018.
Smart Works Charity will open its seventh branch in Newcastle – and it will be the fifth Smart Works branch to open outside of London, joining Edinburgh, Reading, Manchester and Birmingham.
The Smart Works mission is to open in different cities across the UK so more women can access their award-winning interview preparation service. Smart Works will deliver 4000 dressings in 2017 and over 1 in 2 of the women they have seen, in every location, got the job. It is brilliant to add Newcastle to the Smart Works fold so that women in the North East can access their life-changing support. Led by a strong board, Smart Works is in the perfect position to ensure a successful opening of their seventh UK branch.
Kate Stephens, Chief Executive of Smart Works: “We are so thrilled to be bringing the Smart Works service to Newcastle and the North East. We want as many women as possible to be able to experience the transformative power of our unique service. The founding team, led by Helen Sinclair, are dynamic, inspiring and passionate women who share our vision, and make a fantastic new addition to the Smart Works family.”
Helen Sinclair, Chair of Smart Works Newcastle: “We are extremely proud of the opportunity to bring Smart Works to the women of Newcastle. We are passionate about harnessing the power of clothes and confidence to help women in the North East succeed at interview and take the next step in their lives. The team are already hard at work on the launch plan and we have been delighted with the level of interest and support so far.”
The charity is looking for dynamic, entrepreneurial and dynamic individuals and organisations to join the Smart Works movement and help bring the service to life in Newcastle. There’s plenty of exciting opportunities and something for everyone.
It is holding an informal event the evening of Thursday 7th December for people to find out more about Smart Works and the opportunities in Newcastle.
