Silk Family Law partner Teresa Davidson (pictured left) presented cheques totalling £1260 to representatives from Macmillan Cancer Support and the Harrogate and District Foundation NHS Trust at the Sir Robert Ogden Macmillan Centre in Harrogate this week.
The money was raised by colleagues and friends of Silk Family Law at the firm’s annual charity quiz night. All of the money raised from the event went direct to the charities.
“The Sir Robert Ogden Clinic provided vital support and comfort to our former colleague and dear friend Carol Rennard and her family, before she sadly passed away last year,” said Teresa.
“We dedicated our annual quiz night to Carol this year, and wanted to ensure that the money raised went direct to frontline services, like those provided by the clinic, as well as supporting Macmillan’s national campaign work.”
Macmillan Cancer Support provides specialist health care, information and financial support to people affected by cancer. It also looks at the social, emotional and practical impact cancer can have, and campaigns for better cancer care.
The Sir Robert Ogden Macmillan Centre (SROMC) provides high quality cancer treatments and health and wellbeing services in and around Harrogate in Yorkshire.
