Solicitor Eleanor Lowes has joined the national committee of YRes, Resolution’s network of family law professionals at the start of their careers. Resolution is a community of family justice professionals who work with families and individuals to resolve issues in a constructive way.

Formerly London-based, Ellie was previously a member of the London YRes committee and organised talks and events for young family lawyers across London.

As part of the YRes national committee, Ellie will help to ensure there are opportunities for family law professionals starting out on their career path to share their experiences, concerns and ideas and develop their skills and knowledge in a friendly and supportive environment.

This includes:

  • Gathering feedback from family law professionals in the regions to shape direction for the year ahead.
  • Providing wellbeing support and developing training resources for junior family law professionals.
  • Involvement in committees and working parties on a national and local level.
  • Assisting in the organisation of the National YRes conference (which took place on 12 November 2021) for professionals from across the country to meet and learn together.

Ellie’s role will involve supporting junior lawyers on a national basis, including promoting wellbeing across the industry.

“Workforce wellbeing across the family legal profession is a key priority for YRes and Resolution as a whole right now. I am looking forward to contributing to this in my role as national committee member, and supporting other professionals to embed good practice across the sector.”

Silk Family Law partner Wayne Lynn said:

“We are delighted that Ellie has been elected to the YRes national committee. Her passion and commitment to reducing conflict in cases involving separated families means that she will be an asset to the future of family law.”
