Silk Family Law is strengthening its North Yorkshire office with the appointment of solicitor Emily Crick.
Emily joins the boutique family law firm – based at Aske Stables, near Scotch Corner, from Stockport law practice, Gorvins.
A law graduate from the University of East Anglia, Emily has four years’ experience of working in family law. She has provided advice on family law matters to Police Federation Members, and has a particular interest in children’ matters with an international aspect.
Margaret Simpson, who founded Silk Family Law seven years ago with solicitor Kim Fellowes and barrister Ian Kennerley, said: “Emily is a talented lawyer whose interests and skills in financial matters and children’’s work will make her an invaluable member of our team.”
Emily commented: “I feel privileged to join a firm with Silk’s enviable reputation. I am particularly interested in Silk’s expertise in advising farming and landowning businesses on family law matters as my partner’s parents are local farmers.”
Silk Family Law, which also has a Newcastle office, received top tier rankings for seven consecutive years in both Legal 500 and Chambers UK, with both legal guides describing the firm as “pre-eminent” in the North East.
